Workstation

Overview

The Workstation is for the operator at a machine, bench or line. It shows active work orders, allows start, document review, component checks, quality, anomalies, scrap, finish and printing.

Up to 100 work orders are loaded in pending, waiting, ready or progress states.

Choose the work order

1. Open Workstation.
2. Check reference, product, quantity, work center and state.
3. Open linked instructions or drawings.
4. Review components and quality before starting.

Start work

Start is available for pending, waiting or ready work orders. After start, the work order moves to progress.

1. Select the work order.
2. Read instructions and required components.
3. Press Start.
4. Wait for confirmation and perform the physical operation.

Components and documents

During work, check consumed components and available documents. Documents can come from the work order, MO, product, product template, BOM or work center.

Component consumption

Before finishing, make sure required quantities are complete. Incomplete components block completion.

Quality, anomalies and scrap

• Quality — complete required pass/fail checks.
• Anomalies — create a quality alert with description and attachments if useful.
• Scrap — record nonconforming product or component when needed.

Finish and print

1. Review components and quality checks.
2. Register scrap or anomalies.
3. Press Finish work order.
4. Confirm or choose printing if required.

Printing can be local, through an Odoo report, or asked each time.

Practical examples

Assembly with quality check

1. Select a ready assembly work order.
2. Open the instruction document, start work and consume components.
3. Complete the pass/fail quality check.
4. Record scrap if needed.
5. Finish and print the required label or report.

Requirements and limits

• Up to 100 operational work orders are loaded.
• Start is allowed from pending, waiting or ready; finish from progress.
• Incomplete components or required quality block finish.
• Quality measurements are display-only.
• Anomalies, attachments and scrap depend on Odoo models and permissions.
