Finished Goods

Operational guide to recording finished goods: produced quantity, final lot or serial, MO closing, backorder, final picking, quality, scrap and printing.

Overview

Finished Goods records what was actually produced on an MO. The operator checks planned and already produced quantities, enters the new quantity, assigns final lot or serial, closes the order and validates final moves when configured.

Up to 50 active productions are loaded. This is the end-of-cycle screen for aligning physical production with Odoo traceability.

Choose the MO

  1. Open Finished Goods.
  2. Select the completed or partially completed MO.
  3. Check product, planned quantity, already produced quantity and state.
  4. Review quality, scrap or final picking when present.

Planned quantity comes from finished moves when available, otherwise from the MO quantity. Produced quantity comes from completed moves.

Enter quantity and final lot

Enter the newly produced quantity, not always the MO total. If the MO planned 100 and 40 are already produced, enter 60 to complete it.

  1. Enter produced quantity.
  2. For lot-tracked products, enter the final lot.
  3. For serial-tracked products, register one unit per serial.
  4. Review the summary before confirming.

Lot or serial is required for tracked products when quantity is greater than zero. Serial products allow quantity 1 per registration.

Close the MO and handle wizards

SiltaFlow prepares produced quantity and final lot on Odoo, then starts MO closing. Odoo may request immediate production or backorder decisions.

  • Complete production — no residual quantity.
  • Partial with backorder — remaining quantity stays planned.
  • Partial without backorder — residual is cancelled according to Odoo rules.

Validate final picking

In AUTO or THREE_STEP flows, a final storage picking may be present. Check product, quantity and lot, then validate it. If no final picking is configured, the flow ends on the MO.

Quality, scrap and printing

Register only conforming quantity as finished goods. Manage nonconforming pieces as scrap or through the company quality process. After confirmation, print labels or reports configured for the MO, lot or linked transfers.

Practical examples

Complete closure with lot

  1. MO/2026/010 plans 100 units.
  2. Enter quantity 100 and lot LOT-2026-010.
  3. Confirm and close the MO.
  4. Validate final picking and print the lot label if required.

Partial production with scrap

  1. The MO plans 100 units but 5 are nonconforming.
  2. Register 95 good units.
  3. Record or report the 5 scrapped units.
  4. Decide whether Odoo should create a backorder for the residual quantity.

Final checklist

  • Correct MO selected.
  • Planned and produced quantities checked.
  • New produced quantity entered.
  • Final lot or serial entered when required.
  • Backorder decision clear.
  • Final picking validated when configured.
  • Quality, scrap and printing handled after confirmation.

Requirements and limits

  • Up to 50 active productions are loaded.
  • Lot creation uses the available Odoo lot model, with legacy fallback when needed.
  • Immediate production and backorder wizards depend on Odoo version and configuration.
  • Final picking is handled only when the logistics flow provides it.
