Manufacturing Settings

Operational guide to configuring Manufacturing: visible sections, operator, filters, MRP flow, quality, scrap, photos, printing and backup.

Overview

Manufacturing Settings define how Manufacturing behaves on each device: visible sections, operator identity, task filters, flow type, quality, scrap, photos and printing.

Changes are saved immediately in secure device storage. There is no Save button: after changing an option, SiltaFlow uses it in the next operational screens.

Recommended first setup

  1. Open Manufacturing Settings before assigning the device.
  2. Keep only the sections the operator really needs.
  3. Choose operator mode and task filter.
  4. Set the flow closest to Odoo configuration.
  5. Define quality, scrap, photos and printing behavior.

Defaults are designed for a quick start: AUTO_FROM_ODOO flow, ODOO_USER operator, all sections enabled, basket off, quality following Odoo, scrap/photos/printing enabled and MY_TASKS filter.

Visible sections

Not every department needs every function. A line tablet may show only Workstation and Finished Goods; a supervisor may keep Orders and Settings; a material operator may mainly use Component Picking.

Operator and task filters

ODOO_USER uses the connected user, MANUAL asks for an operator, WORKCENTER binds the device to a work center. MY_TASKS and MY_WORKCENTER are operator-friendly; ALL is better for supervisors. If a saved operator or work center no longer exists, SiltaFlow clears it to avoid invalid filters.

Flow and basket

AUTO_FROM_ODOO is the safest choice when Odoo already defines routings and pickings. ONE_STEP is for simple production, TWO_STEP separates picking, THREE_STEP separates picking, work and final storage.

The basket is visual only. It does not create Odoo packages, carts or moves by itself.

Quality, scrap, photos and printing

  • FOLLOW_ODOO follows Odoo behavior.
  • OPTIONAL lets operators record quality without blocking.
  • REQUIRED_BEFORE_DONE blocks work order finish until quality is complete.
  • REQUIRED_BEFORE_STORAGE blocks final storage until quality is complete.
  • DISABLED hides quality screens.

Enable scrap and photos when nonconformities must be documented on the device. Printing can be local, Odoo report, or ask each time.

Simple production

AUTO_FROM_ODOO or ONE_STEP, MY_TASKS, FOLLOW_ODOO quality and ASK_EACH_TIME printing.

Fixed line station

WORKCENTER mode, MY_WORKCENTER filter, Workstation visible and REQUIRED_BEFORE_DONE if quality must block finish.

Warehouse plus final storage

TWO_STEP or THREE_STEP, Component Picking and Finished Goods enabled, REQUIRED_BEFORE_STORAGE when quality must happen before final picking.

Backup and limits

  • Settings are local to the device and saved in SecureStorage.
  • Changes are immediate.
  • Invalid technical values fall back to safe defaults.
  • Settings do not replace Odoo routings, permissions, quality rules or stock configuration.
  • After major changes, test a real MO before handing the device to the shop floor.
